Multiplex WiringTraditional wiring systems utilize a central fuse panel with independant leads, switches and multiple ground wires formed into an octopus of a wiring harness. The latest trend is multiplex wiring. Multiplex wiring provides power to a common distributon center that can be controlled by various switch panels that connect to the control center via cat5 network wiring. Various switch banks can then be programmed to control each light, fan , or other electrical device via software. However, this requires a differnt mindset when troubleshooting electrical problems. The following documents will help you understand multiplex wiring as used in Tiffin motorhomes.
